Inspector Guy Mammatt
The home was judged inadequate at the full inspection on 12 July 2016. Two compliance notices and nine requirements were issued following this inspection. The responsible individual informed Ofsted that the home would be closing on 8 September 2016 and that the two young people would be moving into new placements before 31 August 2016. Therefore, Ofsted took the decision not to monitor the compliance notices.
p.2

A monitoring visit was conducted on 2 September 2016 to ensure that both young people had been found suitable placements, that they were being kept safe and that the home was still due to close on 8 September 2106.
p.2
Inspector Guy Mammatt
One young person moved to another children’s home on 15 July 2016. Subsequent to this visit the registered manager confirmed that the other young person moved out of the home on 6 September 2016 as planned.
p.2
Inspector Guy Mammatt
In response to one young person’s unsettled behaviour and risk-taking, the staffing levels were increased, which meant that he always had someone with him. This stopped the young person going missing from staff’s care and reduced the need for restraint.
p.2
Inspector Guy Mammatt
The manager continued to ensure that the young person was supported by a staff team which he was familiar with. She also agreed to provide care for the young person at the home for an extra week, so that staff were able to support him to move into a new home.

The requirements and compliance notices were not looked at as part of this monitoring visit. The home will now close on 8 September 2016.
