She now has an understanding of possible signs that children are at risk and the correct procedures to follow if she has any concerns about a child's welfare. The provision meets requirements
The childminder has knowledge of how children learn through play. She describes a range of fun experiences she will provide. Activities will be planned around the children's interests to promote learning and development across all areas of learning. The childminder describes how she will offer an inclusive service where children learn to respect and value differences. She gives examples of how she will support children to learn about different cultures and faiths. The childminder has a suitable knowledge of how to evaluate the quality of her practice and support her assistant. She involves parents and children to reflect upon things that have gone well and thinks about how they could be improved. The childminder makes sure that she knows about children's dietary requirements when children first start. She will ensure to take into account any specific dietary needs when providing food. The childminder has assessed her home to identify and minimise any potential hazards.
p.1
The provision meets requirements
This supports her with providing a safe environment in which children can play.
p.1
The provision meets requirements
There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
p.1
Inspection activities
The inspector discussed with the childminder how she intends to deliver the educational programmes for children and undertake observation, assessment and planning. The inspector looked at policies and documents the childminder will use when caring for children and reviewed evidence of the suitability checks for all adults living and working in the household. The inspector and childminder toured the areas of the premises where childcare is to be provided. The inspector and the childminder discussed toys, resources and equipment that she intends to use.
