She effectively uses the information to plan further enjoyable experiences to support their future development. The childminder develops positive relationships with parents and other providers involved in the children's care and learning. She regularly shares information about children's well-being and development. Children are treated with kindness and form strong attachments with the childminder. consistent boundaries, encourages children to use good manners and supports them to understand why it is important to be respectful and kind to one another.
p.1
It is not yet outstanding because:
The childminder does not make the best use of available professional development opportunities to further develop her practice. The childminder has not considered fully ways to help children to develop an understanding of the diversity about people and communities in the wider world.

Inspection activities
The inspector observed the quality of the childminder's teaching during activities indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact this has on children's learning. The inspector completed joint observations with the childminder. The inspector looked at relevant documentation and evidence of the suitability of the childminder and household members. The inspector took account of the views of parents from documentation completed by them.
p.2
Effectiveness of the leadership and management is good
The arrangements for safeguarding are effective. Clear procedures are in place for identifying children at risk of harm and liaising with the appropriate agencies. The childminder supervises the children well and regularly checks her home and garden to ensure children are not exposed to potential hazards. She implements secure procedures to keep children safe on outings. The childminder has updated her safeguarding knowledge through refresher training and holds a current first-aid qualification. She reflects on her practice and has a good range of policies and procedures in place to support the safety and welfare of the children. The childminder monitors the children's progress during their time in her care. She successfully uses this information to assess children's progress and identify potential gaps in their development.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is good
The childminder effectively supports children to reach their full potential. She plays alongside children and actively talks to them about what they are doing. Children are introduced to new vocabulary as they play and are encouraged to sing rhymes, such as Twinkle, twinkle little star. The childminder supports children's enjoyment of books. Children listen well and show an interest in the illustrations on each page. They enjoy creative art activities. Children use tools, such as paintbrushes with growing precision and explore the texture of the paint. They are supported by the childminder to see what happens when paper is placed on top of their colourful blobs of paint. Children express their pleasure when they see how their picture has changed. They are encouraged to count and introduced to concepts such as up and down as they have fun on the see-saw.
p.3
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are good
The childminder spends time getting to know the children and their families during the settling-in procedures. Information is obtained about each child's needs and stage of development. This effectively supports transitions from the children's home into the childminder's care. Children are happy in their surroundings and show pleasure in their play and interactions with the childminder. They are effectively supported to develop a good awareness of their own personal safety, such as learning how to cross the road safely. Children enjoy being outside in the fresh air. They concentrate as they learn to carefully pour water from one containing to another and search for hidden items in the sand. Children have regular opportunities to challenge their developing skills on apparatus at the park. They visit places of interest around the area, such as the library, museum and reptile shop.
p.3
Outcomes for children are good
All children make good progress in relation to their starting points. They are working comfortably within the range of development typical for their age. Children demonstrate a positive attitude towards their learning. They develop the key skills they need for their future learning and eventual move to school. Children communicate with growing confidence, are sociable and develop their self-care and independence skills.
