Younger children enjoy participating in art and craft activities. They develop their small-muscle skills, using glue sticks and pens to make a character made of sticks from a storybook that they have enjoyed listening too.
p.3
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are outstanding
Children's emotional well-being is a high priority for all staff. They work incredibly hard to ensure children settle quickly and enjoy their time at the playscheme. The highly effective grouping of children and deployment of staff supports excellent relationships. Where children need support with boundaries for good behaviour, staff work exceptionally well, both together and with parents to ensure a consistent approach is maintained. Younger children respond very positively to staff's clear and thoughtful guidance. Staff know the importance of supporting children's independence. Children show pride and a strong sense of achievement as they successfully complete simple tasks, such as sweeping up and tidying away after lunch. Staff help children to make healthy food choices from their lunch box. Mealtimes are a social occasion as children join together to enjoy each others' company.
