This provision is good
The childminder has developed extremely positive relationships with the children in her care, as well as their parents. She involves parents in their child's learning effectively. Children benefit from the childminder's ability to use everyday experiences to introduce new teaching concepts, such as counting or shapes, to develop skills in early maths and new vocabulary. For example, children discuss the weather by dressing a toy monkey in appropriate clothing. The childminder is highly committed to her professional development. For example, she has adopted a variety of skills she learned during behaviour management training to help children understand the boundaries and routines. The childminder is able to meet the varying ages and developmental needs of the children. For example, one child has enjoyed learning to sew while the younger children relished playing and exploring with a range of fabrics. Children make good progress
