The inspector spoke with the childminder at appropriate times during the inspection. The inspector carried out an observation with the childminder. The inspector took account of all parents' views expressed in responses to questionnaires. The inspector looked at children's records, including tracking charts and observations, alongside planning, policies, procedures and a range of other relevant documentation.
p.2
Effectiveness of the leadership and management is good
The childminder has improved her provision since the last inspection. For example, she has addressed the recommendations raised and improved how she checks children's progress to pinpoint what each baby and child needs to learn next. That has helped her to offer an improved standard of service. The childminder knows and understands safeguarding procedures, and follows them closely to support children's welfare and safety. She is fully alert to any signs that children may be at risk of harm and knows how to report any concerns. Safeguarding is effective. Following training on outdoor learning, the childminder has set up a welcoming, well-organised and stimulating environment outdoors, to match an equally good indoor provision. For example, an outdoor mud- kitchen mirrors the indoor high-tech kitchen unit. Children of all ages enjoy and explore all areas of learning. The childminder regularly monitors what she does to help continue the

She supports young children to manage their hygiene and personal needs, so they know and understand what to do. Children learn about keeping safe, for example, on their walk to school or how to keep safe in the sun. The childminder encourages healthy lifestyles, including for babies when appropriate. She manages behaviour well.
