This provision is good
The manager and staff have addressed the actions and recommendation raised at the previous inspection. For example, a register of attendance is completed showing the times of arrival and departure of all children. Staff receive good professional support and are able to access a wide range of training and qualifications. This helps to develop their knowledge and skills and improve the teaching, and positively impacts on children's experiences. Partnerships with parents and other professionals are good. They play a key part in how staff plan strategies and interventions to support children's unique needs. Children easily access a wide range of toys and resources that is based around their ages and individual interests. All activities are planned around the areas of learning and help children to progress well and complement their learning in school.
p.1
It is not yet outstanding because:
The manager does not seek to include the views of all staff, parents and children when evaluating the club. On occasions, children are not given enough time to think about and respond to questions and share their experiences.

Inspection activities
The inspector observed the quality of teaching during activities indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact this has on children's learning. The inspector completed a joint observation with the manager. The inspector held a meeting with the manager and looked at relevant documentation, including staff qualifications and their Disclosure and Barring Service checks. She also viewed the policies and procedures, including the safeguarding policy and children's learning records. The inspector spoke to a small selection of parents during the inspection and took account of their views. The inspector talked to staff and children throughout the inspection.
p.2
Effectiveness of the leadership and management is good
The manager and staff are well qualified and attend a wide range of training, both in house and externally. Staff support each other well and are led by a positive, experienced and qualified management team. The arrangements for safeguarding are effective. The robust recruitment and supervision procedures ensure that all staff have a solid knowledge and understanding of how to protect children in their care. Children's development is monitored well and key persons ensure gaps in children's learning are quickly identified and shared with the teachers. The staff team has a good working relationship. They offer consistency of care and have strong partnerships within the community, including the local school and the local authority early years team. Parents receive clear information about the club through regular newsletters and ongoing daily discussions with staff. Inclusion is given high priority as children who have special educational needs or disability are

Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is good
Children enjoy playing with a wide selection of good quality toys and resources. Activities are based on children's interests and the environment is adapted to support their learning well after a structured day at school. This contributes towards children being motivated and able to explore freely. Children socialise well with both staff and their friends as they talk about their day at school and their approaching holidays. Children are very keen to take part in the painting activity, choosing what colours they would like. They confidently write their names on the reverse side of their painting, expressing that they want to take it home. Children concentrate well on the activity and have very good support and guidance from the friendly staff. Staff provide good continuity and consistency for children and have developed trusting relationships with their peers. Staff record observations of children's play and make sure important information is passed on to parents and teachers.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is good
Staff help to prepare and support children well as they move on through the school.
p.3
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are good
Children's behaviour is very good. Children are able to resolve issues and take turns, with little support from staff. Staff give children lots of praise and clear explanations about conduct. They have successfully created a very caring and secure environment where all children are warmly welcomed and feel extremely well supported. Children enjoy healthy and nutritious snacks and independently access these and drinks of water throughout the session. Staff teach children about staying safe as they practise regular fire drills and older children know to close the safety gate behind them. Children have a good understanding of how to take risks and stay safe, both indoors and outside. Children have lots of opportunities to be physically active and develop their coordination skills. They freely access the outdoor area and choose from the wide variety of activities and resources.
