This provision is good
The management team has successfully addressed the actions arising from the previous inspection. The required Ofsted suitability checks have been completed for all members of the pre-school committee. Parents are very complimentary about the pre-school and praise the care and teaching that their children receive. They value the relationship with their child's key person and other staff and acknowledge the contribution this makes to their child's happiness when they attend. Staff have a secure knowledge of how children learn. They use their knowledge extremely well to plan a wide range of stimulating and imaginative activities, both inside and outdoors. All staff are kind and caring and take time to talk to children about their interests. Children respond positively and form secure attachments with staff. Staff work hard to provide a language-rich environment in which children can develop their communication and language skills. Children for whom English is an additional

It is not yet outstanding because:
Although teaching is consistently good, staff do not as yet challenge children enough to help them make rapid progress and achieve at the highest levels, particularly in mathematics.

What the setting needs to do to improve further
To further improve the quality of the early years provision the provider should:

give children the challenge they need to make more rapid progress in their learning and to increase the potential for them to achieve at the highest levels, particularly in mathematics.

Inspection activities
The inspector observed activities indoors and outside. The inspector checked evidence of the suitability and qualifications of staff working in the nursery. The inspector took account of the views of staff, parents and children spoken to on the day. The inspector held meetings with the managers. The inspector carried out a joint observation with the manager.
p.2
Effectiveness of the leadership and management is good
Safeguarding policies and procedures are comprehensive and are implemented consistently by the manager and staff, who are vigilant in keeping children safe at all times. Staff are aware of the signs and symptoms that may give cause for concern about a child's welfare and the action they must take to report their concerns. Safeguarding is effective. Staff have regular supervision sessions, which the manager uses effectively to identify training and development needs. The manager has established robust systems to evaluate the quality of provision. The views of parents, staff and children are taken into account when planning further improvements.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is good
The quality of teaching is good. Staff accurately assess children's learning and regularly exchange information with parents and other settings that children attend. They skilfully use this information to plan for children's next steps in learning. Parents receive information to help them continue their child's learning at home. Staff prepare children well for the move to school. They plan additional small-group tasks to support the development of children's early literacy skills and they establish routines to promote home learning. Children demonstrate impressive levels of independence and confidence as they make choices about their learning and demonstrate sustained concentration to complete tasks to a high standard. For example, children enjoy using a range of art and craft resources to design and build a rocket. They take time to consider their design and explore the resources before skilfully using equipment such as glue spreaders and scissors

to construct their rockets. Children develop their knowledge of the world as they discuss the use of rockets to explore space.
p.3
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are good
Children behave well and show respect and consideration for others. Children enjoy healthy snacks and follow good hygiene routines with a high level of independence. They understand how to keep themselves healthy. Children enjoy the opportunity to develop their physical skills during outdoor activities. They run and climb with their friends in the small outdoor area where they also show a good awareness of how to keep themselves and others safe. Staff are passionate about encouraging children to learn about their own and other cultures. They plan exciting activities to develop children's knowledge and understanding. For example, children enjoy Eid celebrations, make cards, watch a video diary and share their own experiences of their family celebrations. They enjoy the opportunity to watch Arabic dance videos and use scarves to join in with the dances.
p.3
Outcomes for children are good
All children make good progress from their starting points. Children who have identified needs receive a good level of support from staff and external services to help them make progress. Children develop the key skills needed for the next steps in their learning or for starting school.
