She explains how she will track their achievements, in order to support her in identifying children's individual next steps in learning. She will use the assessments to plan appropriate activities to support children to make progress.  The childminder demonstrates an understanding of how to support young children to settle and build close relationships with her. She explains how she will use information gathered from parents to provide appropriate support for children when they first start

in her care.  The childminder demonstrates how she will support children to learn about similarities and differences between themselves and others. She encourages the older children, who she currently minds, to talk about the different religious festivals that they celebrate themselves.  The childminder demonstrates that she has a secure understanding of her role and responsibility to safeguard children. She has assessed her home to identify and minimise any potential hazards. This supports her with providing a safe environment in which children can play. She will talk to children about dangers so that they can start to assess potential risks for themselves.  The childminder recognises the importance of working in close partnership with parents. She will keep parents regularly informed of children's achievements and progress, as well as their next steps in learning. She will encourage parents to share

p.1

The provision meets requirements

There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.

p.1
