The provision does not meet requirements
The childminder has taken some suitable action to address the weaknesses identified at her last inspection. However, the management of her provision is weak and some legal requirements are not met. She has not maintained or developed some required knowledge and skills to help her continually improve. The childminder has a clear understanding of most of the records she is required to keep, however, many of her documents were not available for inspection, including recent records of attendance. She does not fully understand the requirement to obtain information about parental responsibility associated with each child. Additionally, she has not fully checked the accuracy of the information held. The childminder has not maintained her understanding of safeguarding issues, including how to respond to concerns regarding abuse and allegations made about herself. The childminder understands how to promote children's health and well-being. She

describes secure admission arrangements. These have been carefully thought through and give time for children to build relationships and for parents to share information about each child's care needs and learning so far. The childminder has a suitable understanding of the educational programmes and ways to help promote individual children's learning and development. She observes what children can do and tracks this against developmental guidance. She uses the information to plan how to provide specific activities which help every child progress further. Arrangements to work in partnership with parents and other professionals are in place. These include sharing routine progress summary reports and also the required progress check for children aged between two and three years. The childminder understands how to help children develop the skills they need to be ready for school. She provides consistent routines and community activities, such as

toddler play sessions, music and library groups, to provide language-rich activities and social experiences. She uses these as ways to help children develop social confidence and independence. The childminder provides a suitably safe place for children to play and learn. Her home is clean and well maintained. The designated playroom is equipped with attractive play materials. She carries out risk assessments of the house and garden and puts in place measures to minimise potential hazards. She has maintained public liability insurance. There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states
