The provision does not meet requirements

 The childminder demonstrates a limited capacity to improve. Some of the weaknesses identified at the previous inspection have not been addressed.  The childminder has a poor knowledge of child protection procedures. While she is aware of some signs and symptoms of abuse and neglect, she does not know the correct procedures to follow should she have concerns about a child's welfare. The policy and procedures are not in line with the Local Safeguarding Children Board guidance or current government legislation.  The childminder has a limited understanding of the learning and development requirements. She has not minded children since her registration and she does not have a clear understanding of the prime and specific areas of learning. This has a negative impact on her ability to promote children's learning and development.  Hazards seen around the premises during the inspection have not been identified by

the childminder as potential risks to children's safety. She does not carry out rigorous risk assessments to ensure that all areas to be used by children are suitable for their purpose. This issue was raised at a previous inspection.  The childminder understands how to manage children's behaviour in order to help them to treat each other with respect.  The childminder understands the need to establish effective partnerships with parents, so that information about children is shared.  The childminder understands the need to build partnerships with other providers and professionals to meet children's individual needs.

p.1

The provision does not meet requirements

There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
