This provision is good
The manager, committee and staff team have improved practice since the previous inspection. Leadership is effective. The manager uses her successful monitoring procedures to ensure that the quality of teaching is consistently good. Staff have a clear understanding of their role and responsibility to provide children with effective support and care. The manager and staff team have implemented a successful assessment and planning system to ensure that children make good progress from their starting points in learning. Management regularly reviews children's progress to ensure any identified gaps close quickly. Children have good relationships with their key person and other staff. They behave well and develop positive social skills. Partnerships with parents, carers and other early years professionals are effective. This helps to provide a good level of consistency in children's learning and development.
p.1
It is not yet outstanding because:
Staff sometimes miss opportunities to challenge older children's thinking when they take part in activities and experiences alongside younger children. Children are not always able to access a wide range of reading materials to extend their play experiences, knowledge and interests.

What the setting needs to do to improve further
To further improve the quality of the early years provision the provider should:

p.2
Inspection activities
The inspector observed activities indoors and outdoors. The inspector completed joint observations with the manager. The inspector held meetings with the manager and children's key persons. The inspector looked at children's assessment records, the nursery's self-evaluation form, and evidence of the suitability and qualifications of staff. The inspector took account of the views of parents and carers spoken to on the day and from emails provided for the inspection.
p.2
Effectiveness of the leadership and management is good
The managers evaluate their practice effectively and have a clear understanding of their responsibilities, such as maintaining required documentation. They provide good support to staff with ongoing training and encouragement to further their professional qualifications. For example, recent training has helped staff to plan effectively for children's individual next steps in learning. The managers and staff continue to drive improvement with plans to move into new premises to extend the nursery services. Safeguarding is effective. The designated lead for safeguarding keeps staff up to date with procedures to recognise and report concerns about children's welfare.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is good
Key persons know their children well and work closely with parents to meet children's individual needs. They gather helpful information from parents when children start, to begin to assess their learning and development. Key persons track children's progress carefully and identify areas where they need targeted support. They incorporate these aspects skilfully into their planning to help children progress. Staff are always on hand to support children well, for example, during play that they choose for themselves. They demonstrate new skills to children, encourage their mathematical understanding, and keep discussions going to support their language development.
p.3
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are good
Staff create a welcoming and interesting learning environment that encourages children to explore and investigate with confidence. Staff motivate children to learn through their positive and enthusiastic approach. They encourage children to be respectful to others and help them learn about different cultures and communities. Staff provide good support to the families that use the nursery and they help children adapt to any changes in their circumstances. They successfully teach children about sensible safety procedures and help them to understand healthy lifestyles. For example, they encourage children to taste and find out about different fruits and vegetables.
p.3
Outcomes for children are good
Older children thoroughly enjoy exploring; for example, outdoors they play with natural materials and find out how technology resources work. They use mathematical language well, such as 'bigger' and 'smaller', and count with confidence. Younger children begin to make connections about shapes and patterns, for instance, as they make marks using different materials. Children develop a good understanding of language, such as learning new words and responding to suggestions. They play well with each other and show that they feel safe in the nursery. Children are well prepared for their next stages in learning and for school.
