The provision does not meet requirements

 The childminder has failed to maintain a current paediatric first-aid qualification as required. This is also a breach of the Childcare Register requirements.  The childminder has little understanding of the learning and development requirements. This reduces her ability to plan challenging activities that promote children's learning across all areas.  The childminder is not aware of the need to complete progress summary checks for children between the age of two and three, and to share these with the parents and other professionals if necessary.  The childminder understands how to promote children's emotional well-being and has procedures in place to help children settle quickly.  The childminder knows the importance of safeguarding the children's welfare and of how to provide a safe environment for them. She is aware of procedures to follow to report any concerns about the children's welfare and safety.

There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
