This provision is good
The management team monitors and provides good opportunities for staff to train and to develop their skills. This helps staff to provide better opportunities for children. Relationships with parents are good. Staff share information about children's care and learning well to identify and address gaps in children's learning quickly. Staff assess children's learning and development for all areas and use their knowledge of children's achievements and interests to plan for further challenging experiences. Children, including those who receive funding and those with additional support requirements, make good progress in relation to their initial starting points. Staff build strong bonds with children. Children feel safe, secure and comfortable to interact with staff. They explore confidently and settle quickly when they first start. Children have good opportunities to gain an awareness of healthy lifestyles.
p.1
It is not yet outstanding because:
Staff do not always consider the impact of minor distractions which reduces children's learning and enjoyment during learning activities. Children do not always have enough opportunity to learn about and develop an interest in technology.

p.2
Inspection activities
The inspector toured areas of the premises children use. The inspector spoke to parents and read their written comments to gain their views. The inspector observed staff's interactions with children and carried out a joint observation with the manager. The inspector spoke to staff to identify their knowledge of the early years foundation stage requirements. The inspector sampled written policies and looked at other relevant documents.
p.2
Effectiveness of the leadership and management is good
The management team has worked hard to make the required improvements to ensure the standard of service it provides is good. It gains the views of others and uses self- evaluation well to identify and improve teaching and to provide better outcomes for children. Staff risk assess the environments and resources that children use to make sure they remain safe. Children learn how to recognise dangers for themselves. For instance, they enjoy being involved in carrying out emergency evacuation procedures. Recruitment procedures are robust and ensure that all those working with children are suitable. Safeguarding is effective. Staff have a thorough understanding of how to recognise and report concerns about children's welfare. They work with other professionals involved with the children to provide effective continuity and support.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is good
Staff have high, realistic expectations of what children can achieve. They help children to recognise their own achievements and to take pride in their successes. Staff provide children with a balance of small and large group activities and ask them questions to encourage thinking and language skills. Children have good chances to develop their physical skills. They enjoy pouring water into pipes, building constructions and making cakes with playdough. Children have good opportunities to gain an awareness of people and their different traditions and celebrations.
p.3
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are good
Staff set a good example for children and remind them of the rules and boundaries. Children learn to share, negotiate, play cooperatively and behave well. Staff encourage children to develop their independence in preparation for going to school. For example, they remind children to wash their hands after they use the toilet and before they eat. Younger children receive more help to meet their needs, while older children are encouraged to do more for themselves. Children enjoy developing a sense of responsibility. For instance, they are eager to clear away their own snack cups and plates and respond well to instructions at tidy-up time. This helps them to develop confidence and to take an active role in their own care and learning.
p.3
Outcomes for children are good
Children develop essential skills that prepare them well for all future learning. Children have good opportunities to interact and build relationships with other children. They learn to count and measure as they play. Children develop their early literacy skills. For instance, they enjoy finding their names and recognising letters, reading and making marks. Children use their imaginations well and discuss aspects of their home lives and their likes and dislikes with others. They are happy and enjoy their time in the pre-school.
