p.1

The provision meets requirements

 The childminder has not taken enough steps to meet all the actions set at her last inspection relating to the learning and development requirements of the early years foundation stage. However, she is now only providing wrap around care before and after children's attendance at their main setting or school, and no longer needs to meet the learning and development requirements.  The childminder knows how to provide a safe environment for children. For example, she carries out daily risk assessments to minimise hazards to children.  The childminder knows the importance of working with parents to support a consistent approach to meeting children's individual needs. She is aware of making links with other settings children attend to help complement their experiences in her care.  The childminder knows how to promote children's physical health and well-being. For example, she provides healthy meals and regular opportunities for exercise.

p.1

The provision meets requirements

 The childminder understands how to manage any concerns about a child's welfare. However, she does not have a written statement of procedures to be followed for the protection of children. This is a breach of the Childcare Register requirements.

p.1

The provision meets requirements

There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
