This has an impact on her ability to provide planned, purposeful play experiences. The childminder lacks knowledge of how children learn in different ways. This means she does not understand how to plan effectively to meet children's individual needs. The childminder shows sufficient understanding of safeguarding children. She can describe the signs and symptoms that would make her concerned about a child in her care and knows how to report any concerns that may arise.
