This provision is good
Staff develop effective relationships with other professionals and work closely with them to help children who require additional support. Leaders gain the views of staff and parents to help identify ways of improving still further. Staff check children's progress effectively in order to identify any gaps in learning. They teach well and plan suitably challenging and interesting activities for children to explore and enjoy. Children have strong bonds with their key person, staff members and other children. Staff know children individually. They identify their interests very well and care needs are particularly well catered for. Children are stimulated to learn new words and phrases in English and a variety of other languages which are represented within the setting. Children make generally make good progress, given what they know when they start. All staff have a good knowledge of safeguarding procedures and understand the signs

Inspection activities
The inspector carried out a joint observation with the manager. The inspector spoke to members of staff and held a meeting with the manager. The inspector took account the views of parents spoken to during the inspection. The inspector sampled documentation, including staff's and children's records, policies and procedures, and evidence of staff suitability to work with children. The inspector observed the children in the inside and outside environment.
p.2
Effectiveness of the leadership and management is good
Safeguarding is effective. The manager understands her role well and has developed effective procedures to ensure that all staff are suitable to work with children. Staff are committed to ensuring the environment is safe. For example, they conduct daily checks of the premises and have regular fire drills. The manager creates a positive culture of self- evaluation. She encourages staff and parents to share their views of the setting to identify areas for ongoing development. Staff are supported in their continued professional expertise. For example, she provides training course to extend their knowledge and skills which they use to good effect. All staff have positive relationships with parents and work well to involve them. For example, they host festive days where parents bring traditional food and donate traditional clothes in which to dress up.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is good
Staff teach children to gain skills in every area of learning and provide stimulating and interesting activities for them. For example, staff sing songs to reinforce new vocabulary. Staff conduct initial assessments with the help of the parents and complete strong ongoing assessments and checks on the progress children make. Managers have effective ways to analyse the information to support groups of children to further help staff to improve their practice. Staff skilfully adapt their teaching to reflect the differing needs of children completing activities, such as engaging in a quiet conversation for children who are less confident to talk in front of others. Staff value children's ideas and interests well.
p.3
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are good
The effective key-person system supports children to settle quickly into the setting. Some staff speak additional languages to support those who do not understand English, which supports their emotional well-being. Generally, children behave well and play nicely with their friends, although some children are not fully clear about daily routines. Staff members challenge poor behaviour consistently, for example, by swiftly encouraging children to say 'sorry'. Children have opportunities to learn words to express themselves. For example, they use finger puppets with different emotions. Staff encourage children to share toys and take turns. Children are very accepting of the differences between them and are interested in each other's languages.
p.3
Outcomes for children are good
Children enjoy attending the nursery and are confident and motivated learners. All children make good progress, given what they know when they start. Children learn early reading, writing and number skills effectively. Those with additional needs and English as an additional language gain skills they need for their next stage in learning, including their move on to school.
