The provision does not meet requirements

 The childminder has failed to maintain a current paediatric first-aid certificate. Consequently, the childminder cannot demonstrate her understanding of how to continually promote children's welfare.  The childminder understands the learning and development requirements, including the requirement to undertake a progress check for children aged between two and three years. The childminder is aware of promoting children's learning and of assessing and planning for their individual needs.  The childminder identifies potential hazards in her home and takes action to minimise them. She demonstrates a sound knowledge of local safeguarding procedures and her responsibility to protect children from abuse and neglect.  Information that outlines the service provided is available for parents and children, and is reflected in a range of policies and procedures. Documentation completed with parents includes clear, detailed information about their child's individual care needs.

The provision does not meet requirements

 The childminder understands the benefits of a gradual introduction into her care to support the emotional security of young children. She knows how to promote hygiene procedures and recognises the importance of spending time outdoors in the fresh air being physically active.  Systems are in place for working in partnership with parents and other professionals involved in children's lives, including schools and other early years settings, in order to meet children's needs. This includes sharing ongoing information regarding their care and learning.

p.1

The provision does not meet requirements

There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
