She works closely with other local childcare professionals and gives expert support and guidance to other childminders. The childminder actively seeks out sources of professional support and training and applies them to her practice. The childminder has an exceptional understanding of how to help children reach their potential. She makes the most of every opportunity to teach the knowledge and skills that prepare them for their continuing education. Comments from parents indicate the significant, positive contribution the childminder makes to their children. For example, she adjusts educational programmes to challenge or close any gaps in children's learning. Children are highly motivated to find explanations and to solve any problems they encounter. Children's social and communication skills rapidly develop, for example, as the childminder engages them in meaningful conversations that evolve through play and learning opportunities. They particularly enjoy choosing and helping to make their lunch. Children are eager to count how many more eggs they need and recognise the different shapes they have made as they cut their toast.
p.3

Children's behaviour is exceptional. They show high levels of respect to others and appreciate people's differences. Children have an excellent range of resources and experiences to help them to understand those in the wider world. For example, they have very good opportunities to learn about the local community during regular outings where they see and meet others. Children take part in activities that help them to learn about healthy lifestyles, including planting and growing.
p.3
