This provision is outstanding
The childminder skilfully plans purposeful experiences to promote children's learning. She provides them with excellent opportunities to extend their skills across all areas of learning, both indoors and outdoors. Precise assessment and planning promptly identify and swiftly close any gaps in children's learning. Children make outstanding progress. Children are independent, confident and self-assured. They develop strong, affectionate bonds with the childminder, who is kind and responsive to their needs. Children's knowledge, skills and understanding are deepened through rich and varied first-hand experiences that engage and motivate them to learn. Partnership working is excellent. The childminder has developed highly effective links with parents, professionals and other settings that children attend. She works closely with them to ensure that the activities and experiences she offers build on and

Her well- implemented policies and procedures, and meticulous attention to detail create a safe and vibrant environment for children. The childminder use ongoing professional development extremely well to help her achieve the best possible outcomes for children. Robust monitoring ensures that any gaps in learning are quickly dealt with.

Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is outstanding
The childminder exploits every opportunity to encourage children to think critically, solve problems and challenge themselves in their own learning. They become confident communicators as the childminder plans exciting activities which encourage children to listen to each other and share their thoughts and ideas. For example, they enthusiastically follow the childminder's clear guidance for a challenging game she has planned to build on their recent seaside experiences. They take turns to throw a dice, recognise the numerals and scoop the matching number of cups of sand to make sand castles. They become fully engrossed in their game as the childminder adapts her support to allow children opportunities to reason, think and work at their own pace. Older children show their confidence and knowledge of letters and numbers, for example as they link sounds to the letters in their names. The childminder has plans to promote early handwriting in a
