This provision is outstanding
Children enjoy a vast range of rich and exciting experiences. They have lots of fun. The childminder establishes excellent relationships with parents through which she works in partnership to ensure children's high level well-being. Children have excellent opportunities to develop an understanding of healthy lifestyles. For example, they find out about where food comes from as they watch the milking of cows. Children benefit from large amounts of open air and exercise. Children behave impeccably. Children of differing ages play together harmoniously and help each other in the challenges they take on. Children have lovely manners. They are skilled in the art of conversation, they learn to listen and respond to others' comments and views. Children strongly understand the rules that exist and follow these precisely. The childminder tailors her work very closely to the interests of the children. She shows

large amounts of flexibility and makes adept changes in order to appeal to individual children. The childminder takes extremely high regard of the views of children and parents in her continual evaluation of her practice. The childminder acts admirably to ensure her practice meets changes that occur in legislation, for example, she adapts her practice in line with new requirements. She is always aware of minor changes, such as when new contact telephone numbers come into effect.

The inspector checked evidence of the childminder's qualifications and of her suitability checks. The inspector checked the suitability of the provision for early years children.
p.2
Effectiveness of the leadership and management is outstanding
Safeguarding is effective. The childminder exudes confidence in her knowledge of safeguarding procedures and of the factors that may cause her concern about children's welfare. The childminder follows extremely robust procedures to ensure children's safety in her farm-based setting. For example, she has made a very safe area for outdoor play. The childminder follows highly effective strategies to continue to develop her knowledge and understanding to carry out her role to a very high standard. For example, through liaising with childminders around the world, she has been able to teach children about the wider community. This includes, for example, receiving postcards from children in other countries.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is outstanding
The childminder continues to monitor and assess children's development using her meticulous systems to ensure children progress well, even when she is not required to. Children enjoy their rich activities, which strongly appeal to their interests and promote learning, including developing their early reading, writing and number skills. For example, the childminder is developing a range of activities that include 'princesses' to meet children's topical interests. The childminder shows an ability to extend children's thoughts and ideas as they play. She promotes the acceptance of others in a highly effective way. For example, she recognises and celebrates children's strengths and individualities with them, to highlight and value the differences that exist between people.
p.3
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are outstanding
Children display large amounts of confidence in the setting, where they operate with high levels of independence and clearly feel highly secure. As soon as children come through the door, they are extremely eager to learn. The childminder forms lovely relationships with the children and they settle very quickly. The childminder has created a wonderfully stimulating environment in her setting. For example, she carefully considers her displays to ensure they meet children's differing needs. The organisation of resources strongly enables children to make choices about the activities they engage in. However, children cannot all take part in large-scale floor play simultaneously if they sometimes choose to. The childminder strongly promotes children's personal development, and children become self-assured in her care. She makes children feel valued and important and talks to them in detail about their home lives, using the wealth of information she gathers from their
