p.2

This gives children excellent opportunities for independence and exploration. The childminder is very skilful at using her precise observations and assessments to monitor progress and plan what children need to learn next. Occasionally, she misses opportunities to involve children fully in planning for their own learning. The childminder expertly ensures that children have time to rest when tired, and she talks to them about the effects of foods and water on their bodies. Children grow their own vegetables and learn about the importance of healthy eating.

p.3

Outcomes for children are outstanding

Children flourish in this nurturing environment. They are extremely settled, confident, highly motivated and well behaved. They know how to share and respect their resources. Children's communication skills are excellent. They are confident to talk, discuss what they are doing and ask appropriate questions.
