This provision is outstanding
The childminder checks children's progress frequently and in great detail. This helps them to make excellent progress in all areas of learning. She knows exactly where each child is in their stage of learning and plans exciting, highly stimulating activities and experiences to help them achieve what they need to learn next. Children are extremely well supported by the childminder and her assistants in being independent. They can do many things for themselves before asking for help. Children feel very safe and cared for. Their behaviour is excellent and they learn to care deeply for each other and the environment from an early age. The childminder uses her exceptional communication and language skills to motivate children's enthusiasm to learn. This helps children to become very competent in their speaking and listening skills particularly. Children are extremely well prepared for their next settings.

Inspection activities
The inspector had a tour of the setting and viewed the resources available to the children both indoors and outdoors. The inspector carried out a joint observation with the childminder. The inspector held discussions with the childminder and her assistants. The inspector sampled documents and children's records. The inspector read and discussed points in the childminder's self-evaluation.
p.2
Effectiveness of the leadership and management is outstanding
The childminder attends training and carries out her own research as part of her ongoing development. She maximises the impact of this training by sharing her knowledge with parents to ensure a joint detailed understanding of how children learn. Safeguarding is effective. The childminder updates her safeguarding training regularly and understands what action to take should she have concerns about a child. The childminder has highly effective partnerships with parents and other early years settings. She frequently shares highly detailed summaries of children's progress to ensure the best possible outcomes for children. The childminder is highly reflective and consistently evaluates her practice. She is generally very effective in identifying areas for improvement and uses clear, effective plans and ideas to address them.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is outstanding
The childminder closely reflects on children's play to see how they learn, and usually builds on their knowledge and skills very skilfully. She checks on children's abilities and interests when they first start and makes close observation of children's early achievements. Children use a wide range of toys that help them learn to operate things and explore how things work. However, very occasionally, there are missed opportunities for children to use technology to extend their learning even further. The childminder and assistants have very strong teaching skills and encourage children to use language at every opportunity. For example, children have conversations about the types of fruit to choose and which fruit they prefer for snack time.
p.3
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are outstanding
Children have many opportunities to be physically active, including exciting opportunities to learn outdoors in the childminder's garden and a wide variety of natural environments in the local community. They learn about a range of people's ways of life through extremely well-planned activities and experiences in and out of the home. Children benefit from healthy and nutritious meals, which strongly contribute towards their physical well- being and their understanding of healthy lifestyles. Staff carry-out care routines extremely sensitively and hygienically. Children have high levels of physical well-being, care for others and enjoyment.
p.3
Outcomes for children are outstanding
Children are inquisitive and active learners which helps them to make excellent progress. From an early age, children learn mathematical concepts in their daily activities. For example, they observe patterns and numbers in the environment to help their early mathematical development. They listen very carefully and can retell stories confidently. They develop their early writing and reading skills very well.
