This provision is good
The manager is dedicated and displays a clear commitment to providing a high quality service. She continually identifies areas for further development, including seeking more ways to engage parents in this process. Staff promote children's physical well-being successfully. For example, they provide plenty of opportunities for fresh air and exercise to help encourage healthy lifestyles. Effective partnerships with parents achieve a united approach to meeting children's individual needs and extending their learning. Staff liaise effectively with external agencies and services so that they work together to ensure all children get the support they need. Experienced staff use their observations well to plan a varied range of activities and experiences that support children's learning and development effectively. Children are happy, confident and motivated to learn. They are well prepared for their

It is not yet outstanding because:
Arrangements for supporting staff to develop their practice further do not always focus enough on raising the quality of teaching to help children make more rapid progress in their learning. The indoor environment is not always organised successfully to encourage children to freely explore and further promote their independence skills.

What the setting needs to do to improve further
To further improve the quality of the early years provision the provider should:

focus even more on evaluating the quality of teaching to identify further improvements to support children to make even more progress review the organisation of the pre-school room to allow children more opportunities to move around freely to extend their independent learning.

Inspection activities
The inspector observed the quality of teaching during activities indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact this has on children's learning. The inspector looked at relevant documentation, such as the pre-school's self- evaluation, policies and procedures, and evidence of the suitability of staff working at the pre-school. The inspector carried out a joint observation with the manager. The inspector took into account the views of parents spoken to on the day of the inspection and from written feedback provided. The inspector held a meeting with the manager and spoke to staff and children throughout the inspection when appropriate.
p.2
Effectiveness of the leadership and management is good
The manager reviews the provision and children's learning regularly overall. She makes clear plans for ongoing developments that help to improve the outcomes for children. Safeguarding is effective. Staff have a clear understanding of the procedures to follow if they are concerned about a child in their care. Staff use training well to help improve their practice. For example, following training, they introduced a range of effective strategies to develop children's decision-making and physical skills.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is good
Staff complete regular observations and assessments and use this information effectively to identify children's progress. Staff respond well to children's emerging interests and successfully guide their learning. For example, when children displayed difficulties using modelling tools during a play dough activity, staff showed them how to use the tools properly and praised the children's efforts. Children have many opportunities to practise their early mathematical skills. For example, they learn about shapes, sizes and numbers as they build towers with construction bricks. Staff use effective questioning techniques and interact well with children. This helps to expand children's thinking skills and develop their language and communication well. For example, children enjoy conversations and taking orders for cups of tea when playing in their role play kitchen.
p.3
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are good
Effective settling-in procedures help to ensure that children settle quickly and are ready to learn. Children's behaviour is good. They learn to be respectful of everyone and know when to share and take turns. Children develop secure relationship with their key person. Older children have plenty of opportunities to develop their personal skills further. For example, they like clearing away and washing their plates after snack time. Parents speak highly of the staff team and enjoy receiving termly reports, which include details of their children's progress and celebrate their achievements.
p.3
Outcomes for children are good
All children, including those who are learning English as an additional language, make good progress in relation to their starting points. Children communicate confidently with one another and staff. They competently form letters, recognise their names and develop good mathematical skills. Children show high levels of curiosity as they confidently explore, particularly when outdoors.
