It is not yet outstanding because:

 The childminder has implemented a self-evaluation process. However, her professional development is not yet targeted on raising her teaching skills to an outstanding level.  The childminder does not always adapt activities for babies to take account of, and fully support, their sensory learning and development.

The arrangements for safeguarding are effective. The childminder has completed safeguarding training since her last inspection. This has helped her to develop the knowledge and understanding needed to ensure that children are kept safe from harm. The childminder confidently describes the possible signs of abuse and neglect. She knows the procedure to follow should she be concerned about a child's welfare, a member of her household or a colleague. The childminder has developed a range of policies to underpin her practice. She regularly monitors children's progress across all areas of learning. Overall, the childminder demonstrates an accurate view of the quality of her service and practice with children. She has addressed all the actions previously set and built on this to make relevant improvements that have a positive effect on children's learning and development.
