Effectiveness of the leadership and management is good
Safeguarding is effective. The childminder updates her knowledge of safeguarding regularly and she knows what action to take should she have concerns about the welfare of a child. The childminder works with parents and children to evaluate her provision and takes action to make general improvements. For example, she identified several ways to adapt her learning environment to suit the needs of younger children. The childminder attends regular training courses and professional meetings to build her knowledge and understanding of childcare. She puts her learning into action in very effective ways, such as making a range of resources to promote children's mathematical development. The childminder occasionally works with an assistant. The childminder supervises the work of the assistant and they work effectively together to provide children with consistent care.

The childminder is a very strong role model in treating children with respect and valuing what they have to say.
p.3
Outcomes for children are good
Children make good progress from their starting points. Children enjoy being independent in choosing what to play from a wide selection and initiate various games with each other and the childminder. They gain a wide vocabulary and make rapid progress in their communication and language. Children achieve well within the typical range of development for their age and demonstrate a real eagerness to enjoy learning. They acquire good skills for their future learning.
