The childminder does not have an understanding of how to identify the possible signs and symptoms which may indicate that a child is at risk of harm. Furthermore, she does not know the procedures for reporting such concerns locally, to help safeguard children. This is also a breach of the Childcare Register. The childminder does not have a sufficient understanding of how to respond if complaints are made about her service, and she does not inform parents of how to make a complaint. This also applies to the Childcare Register. Self-evaluation is ineffective. The childminder does not understand how to identify where she does not meet requirements. The childminder and her assistants hold relevant current paediatric first-aid certificates, to be able to respond in an emergency. The childminder knows how to promote children's good health and the need to provide a clean environment for children's play. She understands the need to provide children

The provision does not meet requirements
There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
