This provision is good
The childminder makes good use of training to develop her skills, knowledge and understanding to help her improve children's learning experiences, especially in helping children to respect and value their similarities and differences. The childminder follows robust safeguarding procedures. She attends relevant safeguarding training and completes regular risk assessments to ensure she keeps children safe and secure. Children are safe and happy, and the childminder knows them very well. She plans activities that encourage children to explore and learn new things, and make good progress. The childminder works closely with parents to ensure they meet children's individual care needs well, including those with specific needs.
p.1
It is not yet outstanding because:
The childminder does not work closely with parents to share information about children's next steps and learning needs, to provide children with more challenge and consistency in their experiences. The childminder regularly reminds children about keeping safe and following good hygiene routines; however, she does not always help them learn why they benefit from following them.

Inspection activities
The inspector spoke to the childminder at appropriate times throughout the inspection. The inspector looked at children's learning records, the self-evaluation form, and a selection of policies and other records. The inspector spoke with parents and took account of the views of other parents via emails seen on the day. The inspector observed the childminder interacting with the children. The inspector conducted a joint observation with the childminder.
p.2
Effectiveness of the leadership and management is good
Safeguarding is effective. The childminder has a good knowledge of requirements and implements them well. She has a secure understanding of her duty to protect children in her care. The childminder maintains effective and well-organised records to support her in meeting children's needs. She uses self-evaluation well to identify areas to tackle and improve, for example, improving the support for children's mathematical development and teaching them about other cultures and lifestyles.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is good
The childminder provides a wide range of stimulating activities that promote children's learning and development across all areas well. She organises an interesting environment where young children make choices, move freely, and successfully develop their early language skills. The childminder supports children well to use paints and home-made stamps confidently, helping them to recognise the marks they make on paper. The childminder ensures that children take part in a range of different learning experiences to promote their understanding of diversity and valuing others, such as looking at books about other cultures and lifestyles, and playing with dolls that reflect different people. The childminder understands that children learn best through play and interacts well with them, which results in a calm and friendly atmosphere where children concentrate and focus. The childminder monitors children's progress effectively to identify and close gaps
p.3
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are good
The childminder provides a safe and welcoming environment where children are happy and content. Children enjoy being active and engage in physical play in the garden and on trips in the local area, learning new skills and control of their movements. The childminder uses frequent praise and encouragement when she interacts with the children, which helps them to form secure emotional bonds and understand boundaries and expectations for good behaviour. Children are confident, and they are excited to explore and find out what is available, initiating their own play and learning. The childminder follows the children's individual routines well and swiftly recognises their needs; ensuring children are comfortable, relaxed and settled.
p.3
Outcomes for children are good
Children, including those with additional needs, make good progress from their starting points. They are active learners and enjoy exploring. Young children learn colours and shapes during interesting activities that spark their curiosity. They enjoy sensory play to explore the marks they make and looking at books. Through daily activities and routines, children learn to count and sort items. Children acquire the key skills for future learning.
