substantial and sustained progress that leads to outstanding achievement. The childminder is well qualified and her teaching inspires the children and others. She shares her expertise, in order to help other childminders improve their practice and outcomes for children. For instance, she has worked collaboratively with a childcare author and local authority representatives to produce training materials. The childminder forms exceptionally warm bonds with children. They thrive and are very happy in her vibrant home. They demonstrate that they feel extremely secure in her care. The childminder is innovative in meeting children's individual needs. For example, she runs a childminding group from her home to prepare less confident children for mixing with larger groups outside her home. The childminder uses self-evaluation highly effectively to identify her strengths and areas for further development. She is relentless in her pursuit of excellence.
