This provision is outstanding
Children flourish in a highly stimulating, welcoming, safe and accessible environment. This is informed by the childminder's excellent knowledge of children's continually evolving fascinations and next steps for learning. Consequently, toddlers and young children are captivated by exciting activities, such as an innovative small-world farm outdoors, created from their great interest in animals. Children's physical and emotional well-being are exceptionally well ensured. Toddlers and young children have undoubtedly developed secure attachments to nurturing adults. Home routines are closely mirrored, helping children develop a marvellous sense of security. They anticipate exceptionally well-organised daily routines with excitement and familiarity. There is excellent consultation with parents and other providers. This promotes continuity in children's care and learning to an exceptional standard during the settling-

Inspection activities
The inspector observed the quality of teaching during activities indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact this has on children's learning. The inspector completed a joint observation with the childminder. The inspector spoke to the childminder, her assistant and children at appropriate times throughout the inspection. The inspector looked at relevant documentation, such as the childminder's self- evaluation, children's records of learning, written feedback from parents, including questionnaires, and evidence of the suitability of those living on the premises.
p.2
Effectiveness of the leadership and management is outstanding
The childminder continually reviews her service, involving parents through detailed questionnaires. She uses excellent resources to keep her practice up to date. The arrangements for safeguarding are effective. The childminder and her assistant have an excellent knowledge of child protection issues and there are rigorous risk assessments. The childminder's formal childcare qualification and further training contribute to the high- quality provision. Her assistant is mainly responsible for managing domestic tasks, such as cooking. He attends key training, which helps him to promote children's health and safety to a high standard. The childminder cascades information, including through displays and photographs, to support her assistant's engagement with the children. She is currently exploring further ways to optimise his interactions to the highest level.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is outstanding
Toddlers and young children are animated and show high levels of energy and fascination as they actively play and explore. They delight in investigating exciting sensory media that ignites their natural sense of curiosity, awe and wonder. They closely observe the marks they freely make with paint using their feet, hands and objects, such as pegs, sponges, balls and cars. The open-ended activity is highly successful. It allows children to lead their own play, embrace new experiences and challenges, and maintain excellent focus. The childminder and her assistant use lively dialogue and set examples about how to do things. They motivate children through their own excitement in children's achievements and discovering things together, such as how different patterns and colours are made. This helps children to feel highly valued and proud of the new skills they are developing.
p.3
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are outstanding
The childminder is highly successful in helping toddlers who are a little unsettled to develop the confidence to go and play. Comprehensive information is exchanged with new parents and there is excellent continuity in care and learning thereafter. The childminder shares information through settling-in and progress summaries, progress meetings and daily journals. Parents share observations from home using wow moments and news from home slips. Children's transitions to or between settings are managed with great success and development information is continually exchanged. Young children are eager to help with tasks. They enjoy taping paper to the floor and tidying toys away, helping to promote a safe and visually calm environment. Mealtimes support children's developing independence extremely well and there is continuous dialogue with them. Children thoroughly enjoy hearty, home-made meals and have ample fresh air and exercise,
