She has recently attended training on safeguarding and meeting the needs of vulnerable learners, building on her professional knowledge and using the information gained to inform her practice. Her next challenge is to explore a wider range of ways to help her sustain and build on her already outstanding provision. The childminder is highly reflective and accurately monitors the quality and impact of her teaching on children's progress. about a child. She is committed to protecting children and supervises them extremely well.

Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is outstanding

The childminder's precise and sharply focused observations and assessments, combined with her ongoing monitoring of children's progress, contribute significantly to the rapid progress children make in their learning. She obtains detailed information from parents to add to her own in-depth observations and identifies clear and targeted next steps that support and challenge children's learning. Parents are kept informed about their child's progress through excellent communication, the sharing of records and regular meetings. They receive a wealth of information about continuing their child's learning at home. Children thrive and thoroughly enjoy their learning. They love exploring the resources and confidently make decisions. They use their developing imaginations as they act out scenarios with role-play figures and toy cars. The childminder carefully plans activities based on children's known interests, such as space. She reads relevant stories with
