This provision is outstanding
The highly experienced childminder provides children with an excellent range of exciting activities and resources to interest and motivate them. Children are constantly engaged and challenged in their learning and make rapid progress. Children develop excellent communication and language skills. For example, while looking at photographs, they talk about previous exciting experiences and join in very enthusiastically with music and singing activities. The childminder tracks children's progress extremely precisely to plan further challenging steps to move them forward in their learning. She shares this detailed information with parents and other professionals involved in children's care and learning to meet their individual needs exceptionally well. The childminder is an excellent role model and teaches children to be kind and polite. Children's behaviour is exemplary. For example, children welcome each other warmly

on arrival, and without prompting say 'please', 'thank you' and 'you are welcome' during their play. The childminder is extremely reflective. She evaluates her practice highly effectively to identify strengths and any areas to improve further to continue to provide a high- quality service for children and families. The childminder is extremely safety conscious. For example, she completes extensive daily checks to minimise hazards, and involves children highly effectively in practising emergency evacuations.

strengthen the already excellent opportunities for children to extend their mathematical knowledge even further.

Inspection activities
The inspector observed the childminder and children interacting and playing outdoors and indoors. The inspector spoke to the childminder at convenient times during the inspection. The inspector spoke to parents and considered their written feedback. The inspector looked at a sample of documents, including evidence of suitability, training certificates and children's records.
p.2
Effectiveness of the leadership and management is outstanding
The childminder has continued to make high-quality improvements since her last inspection. For example, she has created a dedicated playroom and extended resources that reflect the world. The childminder takes every opportunity to extend her knowledge further. For example, she attends training and information evenings, and meets with other childminders to share new ideas and plan exciting activities together, such as nature trails. Safeguarding is effective. The childminder is fully up to date with new legislation and guidance. She has an excellent understanding of her role to safeguard children and the procedures to follow should she have concerns for their welfare.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is outstanding
Children take part in activities that inspire their curiosity and learning. For example, during the inspection, they were highly engaged when scooping and weighing cereal. The childminder joined in their play extremely effectively to extend their learning. For instance, she introduced model insects and magnifying glasses, and explained the concepts of heavy, light, full and empty. At times, children do not always fully extend their knowledge of mathematical shapes. The childminder is extremely creative in extending children's understanding of the world. For example, after children watched the launch of a space rocket, she displayed pictures of this with numbers and words. The childminder has used this experience extremely well. For example, children learnt to count down for 'blast off' and developed understanding of new words, such as 'fantastic'.
p.3
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are outstanding
The childminder provides a highly welcoming environment where children settle extremely well. Children build exceptionally close bonds with the childminder and each other. Partnerships with parents are excellent. For example, the childminder works extremely closely with parents to consistently follow children's individual care routines. She makes excellent use of her resources, such as making home-learning bags to help parents support their children's progress at home. Children develop an excellent understanding of healthy lifestyles. They learn to be responsible and complete small tasks independently. For example, children learn to use knives safely to prepare the wide range of highly nutritious and healthy foods, and discuss the importance of eating well.
p.3
Outcomes for children are outstanding
All children thrive in the highly nurturing environment and make excellent progress. They develop exemplary skills, ready for the next stage in their learning, including school. Children are extremely confident and develop high levels of independence. They use a wide variety of resources to practise their early writing skills, and learn to recognise and write their name.
