This provision is good
The childminder is caring and attentive to children's needs. Her home is welcoming and inclusive. She provides a broad range of resources and plans her activities well. Her interactions make a positive impact on how children and babies settle. Children are eager to play. Babies move around their environments confidently. They show they feel safe and secure in the childminder's care. The childminder has effective systems to find out about children prior to them starting with her. She plans very well for their learning. Children make good progress. The childminder uses her robust policies, procedures, and risk assessments to keep children healthy and safe, and to promote their well-being. The childminder works in partnerships with parents of children learning English as an additional language, to ensure they meet their learning potential.
p.1
It is not yet outstanding because:
The childminder does not always encourage babies to discover things for themselves during some aspects of their play, to fully promote their curiosity and learning. The childminder does not always take every opportunity to communicate effectively with babies, to fully encourage their early language skills.
