The childminder has an excellent understanding of her role. Safeguarding is effective. She is vigilant about safeguarding children's welfare. She has extremely high expectations of all children in her care and provides an excellent standard of provision. She attends all relevant training to improve her practice and constantly monitors children's progress. She is extremely proactive in evaluating her provision to maintain the excellent service she offers. Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is outstanding

For example, she always notes their interests and meticulously plans experiences adjusted to meet their needs. The childminder completes high-quality observations on children and discusses their skills and abilities with parents to ensure assessment is comprehensive and accurate. However, very occasionally, the childminder does not always precisely identify children's next steps to extend their learning even further. Parents are fully involved in their children's learning and suggestions made to continue learning at home are very effective. Teaching is highly effective and delivered in a playful and consistently high manner.
