They develop their literacy skills and love for books and stories. Children develop their creative skills. They have access to a wide range of craft activities where they build on their concentration and imagination skills.

p.3

Staff have high expectations for children's behaviour. They set clear age-appropriate boundaries and support the children to understand why they need the club rules. Staff encourage children to talk to each other and learn to share and resolve disputes independently. They encourage children to manage risks for themselves, while keeping close by. Children are provided with healthy snacks and follow good hygiene routines. Staff ensure they are fully aware of children's dietary requirements and allergies, so they can keep them safe. Children have daily access to fresh air and physical exercise. They engage in sports games in the outdoor area, such as football. Through these activities, they also develop their social skills as they learn to work as a team. Children attend regular outings with the staff to places, such as the local park and woods. Children are encouraged to attend to their own personal-care needs and access toys and resources
