Safeguarding is effective. The childminder gives children's welfare and security the highest priority. She has an extensive understanding of her role and responsibility to help safeguard their welfare. This helps ensure children are protected in all aspects of her care. The childminder completes continuous and precise assessments of all children's progress to accurately plan their next steps for learning. The childminder interacts with great sensitivity and skill. She inspires children to lead their own exploration and discovery while helping them to extend their own play further. She has high expectations of what children can achieve and very skilfully adapts challenges for each child individually. For example, she counted with younger children to introduce number language while encouraging older children to name numbers and to calculate quantities. She encouraged younger children to experiment in mark making while simultaneously supporting older children to learn how to write letters correctly. This high-quality teaching helps inspire children to learn and, as a result, children thrive and make rapid progress.

The childminder has established exceptionally close and highly successful working relationships with parents. For example, she provides extensive settling-in sessions in both her home and the children's homes to build trusting relationships. She nurtures children's well-being extremely well. The childminder provides many activities and experiences for children to learn about their world and the beliefs and cultures of others. Children have less opportunity to learn about one another's home lives to extend this area of learning further.
p.3
Outcomes for children are outstanding
Children are exceptionally confident and motivated learners who make their own choices and engage for long periods in their play. They learn to manage a wealth of tasks for themselves to promote their self-confidence and independence extremely well. This prepares children very well for their future learning and school.
