make choices and decisions in all that they do. Safeguarding procedures are very effective. Children's safety and safeguarding are at the core of everything the staff do. Children are protected from harm as staff have a thorough understanding of their roles and responsibility to report any concerns. The lead manager works very effectively with other professionals and multi-agency teams to protect children from harm. Partnerships with parents are exceptional. Staff keep them very well informed about their children's progress and provide ideas on how to support their children's learning at home. extend the already successful system for assessing children's progress to give a clear picture of the achievements made by specific groups of children, so that the impact of planned interventions is clear.
p.2
Inspection activities
The inspector observed the quality of teaching during activities indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact this has on children's learning. The inspector completed a joint observation with the lead nursery manager. The inspector held a meeting with the lead nursery manager. She looked at relevant documentation, such as the nursery's self-evaluation and evidence of the suitability of staff working in the nursery. The inspector spoke to a number of parents face to face and during telephone calls throughout the inspection and took account of their views.
p.2
Effectiveness of the leadership and management is outstanding
The lead manager and her highly skilled staff team have an excellent understanding of the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage. Safeguarding arrangements are effective. All staff cover safeguarding as part of their ongoing suitability, through supervision and continuous professional development. Therefore, they have an excellent understanding of their roles and responsibilities to protect all children in their care. The management has very high expectations of the staff and the outcomes of all children. The systems for self-evaluation successfully include the opinions of staff, parents and children. They set smart targets with achievable outcomes to ensure continuous improvements are made. For example, in their action plan they are to extend the already successful system for assessing children's progress by tracking individual groups of children in their care.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is outstanding
All staff working with the children are highly motivated and enthusiastic in all that they do. They apply their exceptional knowledge of how children learn and utilise their expertise in inspirational teaching methods. This means they provide an outstanding range of learning opportunities linked to children's interests and seasonal topics. Children are given time to think and make decisions for themselves, which helps them to develop their own ideas. Babies and children with special educational needs enjoy the freedom to explore and investigate the exceptional sensory play equipment in a spacious, safe and secure environment. Staff promote inclusive practice throughout the nursery. They consistently support children's communication and language, physical, personal, social and emotional development, mathematical and literacy skills. Staff encourage children's creativity through painting and craft activities which all children can participate in. Planning, observations

and assessments are precise and sharply focused so every child makes rapid progress in relation to their starting points. Staff meet children's individual needs and records are effectively shared, discussed and decided with parents.
p.3
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are outstanding
Staff are very positive role models and recognise the uniqueness of each child. When incidents in behaviour occur, they encourage children to reflect on what they have done and how that child is now feeling. This helps children learn that there are consequences to their actions and to think of others. The settling-in procedures help staff get to know the children and their families right from the start. Consequently, children form secure emotional attachments with their key persons. Children are very independent in their self- help skills, such as dressing and toileting. They set the tables at mealtimes, pour drinks and help to clear away afterwards. Through the varied and nutritious snacks provided, children gain an understanding of good health and healthy eating.
p.3
Outcomes for children are outstanding
Excellent relationships have been established with the local schools and other early years providers. These help to foster children's emotional well-being and support their move on to the next stages in their learning exceptionally well.
