This monitoring visit

This children’s home was judged inadequate at a full inspection on 17 June 2015. This inspection took place to review the progress made to address four statutory requirement notices and seven further regulatory requirements.

p.2

This monitoring visit

There are currently no children resident in the home. Due to extensive building works taking place, the inspector met the responsible individual away from the children’s home to consider progress made since the last full inspection. The responsible individual produced action plans to demonstrate the steps taken since the previous inspection to address the shortfalls.

p.2

This monitoring visit

The responsible individual has not yet appointed a new manager. She is seeking suitable managerial candidates via professional networks. The home does not have a staff team and action has been taken to address this. A new independent visitor is also being recruited and is not yet in post.

p.2

This monitoring visit

The inspector was unable to test out the effectiveness of the action plans due to no children resident, the lack of a staff team and no registered manager. In addition, the quality of the accommodation could not be evaluated due to the current renovations taking place. As a result of this, the statutory requirements have all been repeated in full.
