The childminder displays an excellent understanding of the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage. Since the last inspection, the childminder has made immense changes to her practice. She has established comprehensive systems to ensure that all documentation and aspects of her provision reflect current legislation and high-quality practice. The childminder supports the sharing of a considerable amount of information between herself, parents and providers of other settings that children attend. Together they promote a united approach to ensure children's individual needs are fully met. This ensures that all children, including those who require early intervention or extra help, receive excellent support to extend their learning and development. The childminder regularly attends training courses which have a substantial impact on the children's learning experiences. The arrangements for safeguarding are affective.

She extends opportunities to develop children's communication and language skills and uses every opportunity to introduce mathematical language and concepts in their play to extend their learning. She expertly questions children to support them to think creatively and develop their own ideas and make new discoveries. Young children spend their time in the outdoor area and explore the natural world. The childminder supports children's exploration exceptionally well, encouraging them to experiment with different tools and textures.

As a result, children have excellent opportunities to learn about similarities, differences and the world around them.
