who attend. This is outstanding

Children have access to an exceptional range of stimulating activities and experiences to motivate them across all areas of learning. However, the childminder misses some opportunities to strengthen children's early letter recognition. Children are confident and concentrate extremely well as they engage in activities that develop their independence and skills for their future learning. For example, they created imaginative pictures and collected frogspawn to observe the developing tadpoles. Children participate in regular outings and show affection towards the family pets. This helps them develop an exceptional understanding of empathy and concern for others, the community and the environment around them. The childminder supports children's choices with visual prompts and consistent signing to encourage all children's listening and speaking skills. The childminder assesses children's progress extremely well to ensure there are no

She builds admirably worthy relationships with children who demonstrate affection towards her with spontaneous hugs and laughter. Children develop their physical skills with a range of stimulating and engaging experiences. These may be in the garden, on local outings or during trips to the local beach. Children learn to manage risks safely. They benefit from suitable challenges as they explore the outdoor environment or use an excellent variety of play equipment. The childminder supports children extremely well for the move on to school. For example, she takes children to visit their new schools and makes excellent links with the teachers.

provision is outstanding

The childminder has an exceptional knowledge of the required policies and procedures, and embeds them into her practice. She routinely assesses and minimises potential risks to children's safety. The childminder effectively monitors and evaluates the high quality of her provision as she continues to make positive changes. For example, she developed her environment to provide excellent learning experiences for those children who learn best outside. She is currently developing new ways for children to understand and meet their own needs. The well-qualified childminder strengthens her already excellent knowledge and keeps up to date with new ideas, through networking and regular training. This has a highly positive impact on the learning outcomes for all children.
