The childminder has high expectations of children and uses her knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage to support them in their learning. The childminder has a good understanding of how children learn. She plans exciting and challenging activities around children's individual needs, based on her accurate observations and assessments and, as a result, children make good progress. provision is good
The childminder provides a range of experiences for children to ensure they make good progress towards the early learning goals. She makes accurate assessments of children and uses this information to inform the planning. She reflects on her teaching practice by evaluating the activities she provides to ensure the objectives are met. The childminder monitors progress by tracking children's development regularly. This information is used to plan for children's next steps in learning and is shared with parents. As a result, any identified gaps are closing. The childminder works well with other professionals in the local area. All information about children's progress is passed on, which helps to support the move on to school or the next stage in their learning. The childminder values the views of parents and uses questionnaires to gain feedback and monitor the quality of her provision.
