 The childminder has not updated her first-aid training to be certain that she can competently administer correct treatment to children in the event of an emergency.  The childminder understands how she will promote children's development in all areas of learning. She has a wide range of resources that meet the needs of children of differing ages, abilities and backgrounds. She has good procedures in place to regularly check the progress children make.  The childminder demonstrates, through discussion, that she has a good understanding of how to protect children in her care. She is aware of the signs and symptoms of abuse, to help her recognise when children may be at risk of harm, and is confident to report concerns in line with guidelines for the Local Safeguarding Children Board.  The childminder knows how to build successful partnerships with parents, to ensure that a consistent approach to learning is planned.

The provision does not meet requirements

There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children.
