who attend. This is outstanding
The quality of teaching is excellent. Children benefit from extremely effective programmes of activities that aid excellent progress. The childminder communicates very effectively with children. For example, she speaks clearly and introduces words by linking them to actions so that babies learn new words quickly. She understands how children learn by exploring, experimenting, imitation and repetition and she provides many interesting activities to allow for these. The childminder offers challenges to children which develop their thinking and physical skills. For example, babies search for lost pieces of pasta and so find ways of moving their whole bodies. Children benefit from a range of regular outdoor experiences, such as going to the park or posting letters. These include daily walks to school that offer opportunities for children to explore local woods and green spaces, learn road safety and become familiar with the school environment. Such

outstanding
The childminder uses successful ways of helping children settle in quickly. For example, she makes home visits to get to know the children and gathers important information from parents about children's needs, routines and interests. She liaises with other early years settings to exchange information about children's progress to take a consistent approach. She has established working relationships with relevant professionals to gain support for children with additional needs. This helps to prevent children from falling behind in their progress from their starting points. The childminder provides a rich range of experiences and resources but there are fewer to help children learn about the differences between people and their families. Healthy eating, physical play and outside experiences all contribute to children's growing understanding of their own health and physical well-being.
