who attend. This is good
The childminder uses effective interaction and teaching skills to promote children's development and motivate them to learn. She provides a stimulating environment for children to play, relative to their ages. As a result, children and babies settle well in her care. They demonstrate emotional security. Children are well prepared for the next stage of their learning. The childminder takes time to find out about babies' early development. Nonetheless, children and babies are happy, confident and content. The childminder is attentive to their needs. The childminder makes time to take children out to play, visit places in their local community and enjoy fresh air as she is unable to use the communal garden at her premises. This promotes children's health and physical development and offers opportunities to socialise with other children. The childminder promotes healthy lifestyles and encourages older children to manage their own personal care. The childminder follows babies' home routines. They receive lots of cuddles and attention, and sleep according to their individual needs.
p.3
provision requires improvement

Nevertheless, the childminder demonstrates her ability to safeguard children. She implements her policies, procedures and risk assessments to promote children's safety, health and well-being. The childminder has a secure knowledge of child protection matters and the procedures to follow if she has a concern about a child. The childminder is reflective about the quality of her provision. She uses feedback from parents and other professionals to plan for her continuous improvement. The childminder has a positive partnership with parents overall and is establishing partnerships with those now sharing care of the children attending. The childminder updates her skills and training to promote her professional development. She states that this has had a positive impact on how she promotes children's development.
