who attend. This is good
Children are happy, enjoy their play and become active learners, as they receive good quality support from the childminder. The childminder teaches children to count, match, and identify colours while playing a posting game. She encourages children to count as they pour cups and jugs of water between containers. This promotes children's mathematical and physical development effectively. Children dig in the soil, and the childminder teaches them to identify worms and spiders with their magnifying glasses. This helps children to understand about nature and the world around them. The childminder uses language appropriate to the ages of the children who attend. She further extends older children's vocabulary by introducing new words to challenge them during activities. Consequently, children of different ages make good progress in their communication and language development.

good
The childminder is warm, caring and affectionate with the children. She develops strong bonds with them so that they feel safe and secure. The childminder promotes healthy lifestyles. She provides nutritious meals and teaches children about how food helps their body to grow. Children benefit from regular outdoor play. They explore pouring and scooping water, take turns on the slide, and run around with their friends chasing bubbles. This promotes children's physical, personal, social and emotional development well. The childminder talks to children about going to nursery. They discuss the uniforms they will wear and the things they will do at nursery. This quality interaction supports children's emotional development and prepares them well for the next stage of learning.
