As a result, children are highly motivated and show a great desire to learn.  The childminder assesses children extremely well and plans an extensive range of play opportunities, ensuring she meets their interests. Consequently, all children, including those who learn English as an additional language, progress rapidly and are exceptionally well prepared for school.  Children form exceptional relationships with the childminder. This means children's individual needs are always met extremely well and children form strong attachments with the childminder.  Excellent partnerships between parents, other settings and the childminder ensure that they are all well informed about children's developmental progress and any strategies are implemented together. As a result, children's learning is supported on all levels.

who attend. This is outstanding

Children thoroughly enjoy their time with the childminder due to her expert knowledge of how children learn and develop. Children have a wide range of rich and varied experiences to help them progress in all areas of learning. Although the childminder provides many stimulating resources, she does not always provide many opportunities for children to fully challenge their developing numeracy skills. Children initiate many activities themselves, which the childminder skilfully supports. All children develop essential communication skills as the childminder skilfully interacts with them and ask questions to help them think for themselves. Older children help babies to learn new words by pretending to read stories and asking them to repeat simple words. Children benefit greatly from excellent opportunities to explore their local environment. They visit places of interest and attend different playgroups. This effectively raises their awareness of where they live and

outstanding

The childminder's home is very welcoming and comfortable. She uses exceptional arrangements to care for children and support their well-being, including very high levels of safeguarding, child protection and hygiene. Children share, take turns and cooperate successfully to maintain harmonious play. They are very confident, happy and settled. The childminder is an exceptional role model. As a result, children behave extremely well and follow the childminder's safety rules. For example, older children help younger ones to walk safely and hold their hands to help keep them safe. The childminder provides enriching resources to stimulate children's natural curiosity and invite them to explore. For example, children feel different textures and explore large pasta, and use real fruits and vegetables in their role play. Children develop high levels of independence as the childminder takes every opportunity to teach them to do things for themselves.

p.3

provision is outstanding

The childminder is highly accountable for delivering exceptional standards of learning and care. She implements all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework with care and rigour. She ensures compulsory two-year-old progress checks are completed on time and shared with parents and other settings involved. Comprehensive monitoring procedures mean that the childminder is highly efficient in identifying and addressing any gaps in children's learning. Robust risk assessment is highly effective in promoting children's safety indoors, outdoors and on outings. Since her last inspection, the childminder has greatly improved outcomes for children and met all previous recommendations.
