who attend. This is outstanding

Every child makes excellent progress because the planned activities and available resources are exceptionally well thought out. The childminder imaginatively creates a child-centred environment using indoor and outdoor play spaces. Children move confidently between the areas, choosing what they would like to do and sustaining their interest well. The fantasy dinosaur swamp and nest of twigs, intrigue and inspire children to think of ways to care for the dinosaurs and provide food and water. Assessments are sharply focused and accurately show what children need to learn next. They are exceptionally well prepared for the future and the next stage in learning because they develop skills and attitudes to help them succeed at school. Books feature in the daily planning and sharing stories helps to instil a love of literature and improve vocabulary. outstanding

Children's emotional well-being is sensitively and expertly considered by the childminder. She works closely with parents at every stage to ensure that children's routine care needs are met. Children show their sense of belonging and growing confidence as they self- direct their play and actively engage with the resources. Children enjoy healthy meals and snacks, such as fresh fruit. The daily opportunity to play in the fresh air, in all weathers, helps children stay healthy. They rest or sleep according to their needs and parents' wishes. The childminder maintains an exceptionally effective flow of information with parents, using innovative systems that she has devised. This means that she always knows exactly what children need. Safety is paramount and all aspects are fully considered. Children can take risks and challenge themselves, for example, on the trampoline or by using a garden hose safely, fully supported by the vigilant childminder.

provision is outstanding

The childminder strives for excellence in all aspects of her practice and constantly seeks improvements. The childminder constantly explores new ideas and ways to extend learning with the children and looks for inspiration from wide and varied sources. The result is that activities are always imaginative and interesting for children. By maintaining an exceptionally high-quality care and learning environment, and using inspirational teaching methods, children's excellent progress is assured. All aspects of safeguarding and welfare are meticulously considered so children are kept safe, secure and free from harm. Any concerns arising are dealt with promptly and effectively. Partnerships with parents and external organisations show immense sensitivity for each child's needs.
