This provision is good
Children's behaviour is well managed. They are able to learn about right and wrong from the childminder who is consistent with rules and boundaries. The childminder makes good use of observations and assessments to plan and provide a variety of stimulating activities. As a result, all the children are well supported in their development across the seven areas of learning. The childminder has a good understanding of her responsibility in meeting the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage. A high priority is given to safeguarding children. Procedures are in place to follow should the childminder have concerns over a child in her care. The childminder provides a flexible daily routine. This makes sure that she meets the needs of all the children who attend, in particular babies and younger children. Children's independence skills are well supported. They set the table for snack, and

It is not yet outstanding because:
The childminder does not build effective communication links with all the different settings that children attend. The childminder has not thought of all ways to regularly get parents fully involved with their child's learning and development at home.

Inspection activities
The inspector spoke to the childminder at appropriate times during the inspection. The inspector viewed the areas of the premises and garden used for childminding. The inspector looked at children's observation and assessment records. The inspector observed children's activities, both indoors and outdoors. The inspector checked evidence of the childminder's qualification and the suitability of all adults living at the premises.

who attend. This is good
The childminder fully understands how children effectively learn through play. She uses skilful teaching methods to ensure children make good progress in their learning. The childminder uses information gained from routine observations of the children to help plan for their next steps in their learning. The childminder carries out the required progress check for children between the ages of two and three years, and shares this with parents. This helps to identify and address any gaps in children's learning. Children's communication and language development is successfully promoted by the childminder. She uses new words with younger children as she introduces them to print with picture and sound books. Children's physical skills are fully developed as they enjoy being outside in the well resourced garden. They enjoy a good level of challenge that is appropriate to their age and stage of development. However, the childminder does not fully share all

information about children's achievements with parents effectively, to help them to be more involved in their child's learning at home.

good
All children have a strong bond and attachment with the childminder. Information gathered from parents prior to children attending ensures that children's individual needs are known and met. This helps children to settle quickly and smoothly with the childminder. Children's understanding of healthy lifestyles is effectively developed. They learn about what foods are healthy for them to eat, and enjoy regular fresh air and exercise. All children develop good self-care skills. For example, they feed themselves, and put their shoes on for outdoor play. These skills help prepare them for the next stage in their learning, such as starting school and nursery. Children benefit from regular opportunities to socialise with other children at local groups and parks. This helps to promote their personal, social and emotional development.
p.3
provision is good
The childminder strives to improve her practice and maintain her professional development through attendance at regular training courses. This has a positive impact on her practice. She has effectively addressed the recommendation raised at the last inspection to ensure children's hygiene is well met. The childminder provides a safe and secure environment for children, where hazards are effectively minimised. Written feedback from parents indicates that they feel their children make good progress in their development and enjoy attending. The childminder has established partnerships with some of the other settings that children attend. However, she has not established links with all the settings attended by children. As a result, she is not able to fully complement children's learning and development.
