who attend. This is outstanding

Practitioners are highly motivated and knowledgeable. They constantly maximise every opportunity to support and challenge every child to make superb progress. Practitioners understand how to adapt activities and teaching techniques to meet children's individual needs. For example, key persons vary interventions, use a range of language and signing and have clear expectations for each child. Children's early literacy and mathematical skills are superbly promoted throughout the nursery. For example, children have excellent opportunities to develop handwriting skills and use counting in everyday activities. Key persons use their accurate and precise observations for future planning. At present the nursery does not have a special place where children can display models and work to show their parents at the end of the day. Management recognise that this would further enhance the already superb celebration of children's achievements.

outstanding

Key persons liaise effectively with parents during children's early experiences of nursery life. This detailed process of information sharing begins a meaningful, two-way dialogue that supports children throughout their time at nursery. Individual caring and nurturing support is offered to children with any additional needs. Children's independence is superbly supported as practitioners take time to present and prepare the environment. Consequently, children quickly become proficient at managing their own needs and guiding their learning. Practitioners manage children's behaviour extremely positively. Consequently, children understand the nursery's rules and follow them proficiently. Practitioners provide children with a wealth of exploratory experiences outdoors. For example, they hunt for bugs and insects in the natural areas.
