This has a negative impact on her ability to share ideas and help children to make the best possible progress. The childminder extends a very warm and friendly welcome. She demonstrates a good understanding of the importance of developing close relationships with children, which supports children's sense of belonging and promotes their emotional well-being. This ensures that children know what is expected of them, as the childminder provides clear and consistent boundaries. The childminder acknowledges the importance of working with parents, to help promote continuity in children's care and well-being. The childminder demonstrates an understanding of safeguarding procedures and has an appropriate policy to help protect the children in her care. She knows what to do if she has any concerns about a child's welfare, or in the event of an allegation made against herself or other household members.

The provision does not meet requirements
There were no children present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
